We spent a fantastic week on the island of Maui. There is so much to do on this island for the sports and leisure enthusiast, from surfing and diving to golf and just relaxing on the beach. We had some great meals too! The fish tastes like it was just pulled from the ocean and it probably was.
This is a shot from my camera phone on the Emerald Course at
Wailea. The course is short and the greens are medium speed, but in great shape and beautifully landscaped. The biggest hazard is being distracted by the views of other Hawaiian Islands in the distance.
This is another shot from my camera phone at Grandmas, a mellow surf break on the west side of Maui, right off the road to
Lahaina. It was breaking about 2-3 feet that day, the perfect mellow day for some long rights and lefts. Mellow was the the theme of this trip, nice and easy. There
weren't many people out in the line up. Just a couple of sea turtles or "
hanu" in Hawaiian. We saw many
hanus in the water this trip.
